Day 126 Through The Bible
Day 126: God Keeps His Word — Standing on Absolute Truth
In today's faith journey, we turn to an unshakable Biblical principle: absolute truth from God’s Word. The truth we anchor our lives on is this — God keeps His word all the time. He is not only a promise maker but a faithful promise keeper, and throughout Scripture, we witness time and time again how God follows through — perfectly, powerfully, and precisely.
Trusting in God's Promises — Even When the Giants Seem Too Big
In Joshua 11, we see a powerful example of God's sovereign hand at work. The very giants that terrified the Israelites 40 years prior had already been defeated — not by Israel’s strength, but by God’s divine power. What once caused fear became an afterthought because God cleared the path even when His people couldn’t see it.
Too often, we focus on the size of the obstacle rather than the faithfulness of our God. But in truth, God is always working behind the scenes, preparing the way for His people.
Caleb's Strength and God's Faithfulness — Joshua 14:7-15
Take Caleb, for instance. In Joshua 14, we hear a testimony of faithfulness and endurance. Caleb says, "Forty years old was I when Moses... sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land... and I wholly followed the LORD my God." Now, 45 years later, at age 85, Caleb boldly declares that he is just as strong as he was back then — and ready to take the mountain God promised him.
Caleb’s story reminds us of this life-changing truth: God gives you the strength to do what He has promised. When we follow Him wholly and faithfully, our strength doesn’t wane because God’s strength works through us.
The Power of Biblical Principles in Daily Life
So, how do we apply this to our daily lives?
The obstacles we face — the "giants" in our modern world — may look overwhelming. These burdens feel impossible, whether it’s financial strain, health challenges, broken relationships, or anxiety about the future. But as Caleb's story and God’s Word remind us, the battles belong to the Lord. He’s already at work defeating what we fear the most.
We are called to be:
Steadfast in our faith
Unmovable in the truth
Abounding in the work of the Lord
As 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 encourages us:
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord..."
Living in Victory Through Christ
Victory through Jesus Christ isn’t just a hope — it’s a guarantee for those who trust in Him. Living according to God’s absolute truth reveals that our labor, trials, and perseverance are never in vain. The life of faith is one of purpose, joy, and eternal reward.
Let today be a reminder that:
God keeps His promises
God empowers you for the task ahead
God has already cleared the path
God’s Word is the absolute truth
When we build our lives on these truths, fear fades, and faith takes its rightful place.
